Saughall Colts Junior Football Club was founded in 1981 by Keith Evans and played its first home game at Sea Hill in 1983.
The club entered the Chester and District Junior Football League (C&DJFL) in 1986.
Saughall Colts JFC aims to create a safe environment for local children to play and enjoy football.
It is the club’s aim to encourage children of all abilities to play football and improve their skill and understanding of the game.
It is the club’s aim that each age group has its own separate coaching session, run by a coach who has attained the FA Level 1 coaching qualification…The coaching sessions focus on improving individual skill and encouraging teamwork
Saughall Colts JFC is affiliated to the FA through the Cheshire County Football Association.
All Saughall Colts JFC teams are entered into leagues administered by the Chester and District Junior Football League.
The home of Saughall Colts Junior FC is the Sea Hill playing field, by kind consent of the Vernon Institute.
Saughall Colts JFC adhere to The Football Association’s Child Protection Policies and Procedures.
All Team Managers undergo a Criminal Record Bureau check.
All Team Managers attend the FA Child protection and best practice – Workshop.
The Club has a Child Protection Officer to advise on best practice and deal with any child protection issues.
Code of Conduct
Saughall Colts JFC operates a code of conduct to promote fair play and respect for all. There are responsibilities for everybody involved, but particularly for the players, parents and coaches/managers. Players, parents and coaches/managers will be required to sign up to the code of conduct before representing Saughall Colts JFC. The jointly signed code of conduct for players and parents will be held by the team manager. The signed code of conduct for coaches/managers will be held by the club secretary.
